No one wants to be in a hospital emergency room, but if you find yourself in the ER at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna or Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, your wait shouldn’t be too long.

Both ERs clocked in with wait times well below the 56-minute average across the nation in a survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics.

At StoneCrest, a typical ER visitors is evaluated by a triage nurse in 11 minutes and seen by a doctor within 22 minutes. At MTMC, triage times average 14 to 17 minutes and the time it takes to be seen by a doctor is 35 to 40 minutes. MTMC treats more than 63,000 ER case a year.
